Pitch at BizSparkCamp 2010 in London
30 March 2010
Yesterday afternoon, I pitched my multilingual website builder business at BizSparkCamp in London.
I discussed with several other entrepreneurs and gained some insight into best practice regarding marketing and growing a business.
The focus was on Cloud Computing and all it can offer to BizSpark companies. I saw several presentations on Windows Azure and how it's used by other companies.
My multilingual website builder is running on Azure, and I'm currently working on going even further with this platform to make my multilingual websites even more scalable.
It was really useful to confirm that Azure Table Storage is the way forward to serve webpages very fast and to make sure that each website built by my multilingual system scales automatically whenever it becomes busy.
I've also decided to change my marketing strategy. Starting in April, I will focus my blog on articles that are relevant to businesses who want to build a multilingual website. Although writing about ASP.Net is what comes naturally since I'm a web developer, this is probably not what my market is interested in. I will still post a technical article now and then, providing it offers some value to businesses who need multilingual websites, but I won't write about ASP.Net and Azure quite as much as I have so far.
